photography workshops Rome

Challenge yourself in high quality workshops photography in Rome. Focus on the aspects in photography you want to learn. Lessons in a small group by master Leica photographer Paul Struijk who is specialized in Documentary, Architectural and Street photography. We offer two options:

2-9 Aug. 2020

7 days Street photography, Storytelling, People and Architectural photography. Each day two workshops. The first three days basics and then building up to work on your personal series and story. Teachings about photography but also the use of other creative media and how to choose the right presentation for your work. You present he final series / story the last day (maybe not finished, but the feedback will help you to continue).

day 1

workshop 1. Street photography: simplicity, shapes, focusing, composition, B&W – 3 hours
workshop 2. Architectural photography, space, perspective, history – 3 hours
time: 10.00-18.00

day 2

workshop 1. Street photography: light and shadow, emotion, color, bokeh – 3 hours
workshop 2. City Landscapes: architecture, space, perspectives – 3 hours
time: 10.00-18.00

day 3

workshop 1. Urban Landscapes in B&W – 3 hours
workshop 2. Storytelling / Documentary photography- 3 hours
time: 10.00-18.00

Paul Struijk is an experienced photographer, traveler, teacher with many years of photography in Italy

fee
The fee (cost) of the workshops is incl. VAT (BTW), but not included:
– your travel costs
– food and drinks
– room
– insurance (this you need to take care of yourself)

how it works:
Each workshop starts with explaining the needed technique, theory and approach. Lots of guidance is given by the photographer who walks with you and assists you when needed.
Every day starts with explanation of the plan for the day, the timetable, choices, meeting points, travel plan etc and ends with feedback on your photos.

what you need:
camera (digital or film)
lens: wide angle for Urban, Architecture, Landscape and a 35mm or 50mm for Street photography. Or a zoom lens from ±18mm – 50mm at least.

payment:
directly after signing up you will receive an email with the confirmation plus information and instructions. You will also receive within one week the invoice which you have to pay in advance of the workshops by bank.
